I live on the Big Island of Hawaii – I went to the beach on 1-1-10 – just gorgeous!  I sat and just watched everything from the Humpback Whales breaching near Hilo Bay and beyond the Horizon, watched the boogie boarders invade the surfer’s waves (and nearly get whacked), tourist enjoying our warm weather in the middle of winter, the splashing of the water on round river rocks (Honoli’i surf spot) and the soft sounds of tree and palm leaves  swaying in the wind coming out of the north today.

Lucky we live Hawaii. And to top it all off – I ate one my homemade “lava” brownies with extra, extra chocolate – this is the life! President Obama – he knows this is the life – the only thing missing from my perfect day was a Shave Ice!  Lucky we live Hawaii.   Aloha – Janet d

The Art Studio Tour was fun!  Just too bad there were so many events in the community.  Lower than expected numbers of visitors to our place.

Hot Rocks Jewelry for Sale

One of 2 setups for the Art Studio Tour. My guests were impressed with the inside the home setup rather than the typical garage setup most of the art studios typically do.  I will probably do a class early in the year…..guests were interested in a “hands-on” class where they will only be charged for supplies and I will let them do their own natural stone designs.  If you are interested please email me your address and I will post in the new year. Mahalo to our guests who visited us on the Art Studio Tour this weekend.  Although it was not super busy – it sure was fun meeting everyone in our subdivision and community.  Some of the proceeds from the event will go to support Pahoa High School Arts program for the coming school year.

If you are looking to ship out a necklace or earring set – it is not too late……contact me for more information.  I would recommend no later than December 11th for purchasing for package mailout on Monday the 14th. Some packages may take 5-7 days for delivery this close to xmas.

Hot Rocks Earrings

Finally a sign that people are going to celebrate xmas with some gift giving……and my hot rocks jewelry has been a hit.

I gave a special preview party at my studio yesterday for a few special ladies in our community – like kids in a candy store.  This was a great opportunity for me to finalize my setup for the Art Studio Tour December 5th and 6th in Hawaiian Paradise Park 10am- 4pm both days.  This is the first year that I have offered my house/Studio for the Art Tour.
